Glad to be of help, hermosa32 :)

If you need a recomendation for what to pick up next, I'd say River God or the book from which it all started, When the Lion Feeds.

Happy reading!

He steps up to the microphone.....nervous as hell, he wonders why he ever put on clean undies this morning.

Ahem ! testing 1, 2, 1, 2,2,2,2

Hi my name is Gary from Brisbane Australia, I've just found this forum and am happy to see that there are like minded people like myself in this world. I have been reading and collecting WS since 1996 when a friend loaned me his copy of Seventh Scroll.... How good is that book? Well that got me hook, line and sinker. Since then I have devoured any title He (WS) has written. I especially like The Courtney Sagas on the High Seas starting with Birds of prey in the 17th Century & continuing with Moonsson and Blue Horizon. I also enjoy Clive Cussler, Matthew Reilly, C S Forester & Patrick O'Brian (huge nautical bias there).

Anyway I have enjoyed reading all your posts so far and hope that i may contribute in the future. I would hope that we can help each other find those elusive editions that we all covet from all around the globe. I for one would be glad to help anybody by scouring my local bookshops for them (I would really hate that.. NOT)

BTW I am 45 years young

cheers
Gary

While a tiger eyed its prey and an eagle raged in a thunderous sky a river of darkness fell upon a burning sun and the wolf cried tis a time to die, thus did the angels weep as power and triumph in those golden eyes did creep.

Hi, I'm Leah and I'm a Wilbur Smith fan. Boy, does that feel good to get it off my chest!!
I was born in Rhodesia and lived in Zambia for 20 years. I now live in Oxfordshire with hubby and two boys (Michael being one of them!!) I said in abother thread that I lived up the road from the Kabulonga Boys School where WS went as a boy. they still have his old desk on which he carved his name! So, I've always known about him but when I came over here I started to miss the bush badly and so bought and read When the Lions Feed in about two nights. I've read them all (in the wrong order, of course!) and am on my second run through (trying to find the right order, hence stumbling onto the site - which is great by the way, thank you!)

LoL, Leah, looks like I've been stalking you all over the Board!

And no, it's not like that! I'm just bored with my paper on foraging theory, so I came here to read... and yes, well, now I sound like an even bigger looser :geek:

Be sure to thank Matt, he's the one who started it all :)

And with regards to reading order, there are a few Board members who have read the books out of order, (because they were lucky enough to be around as each was published) and I'm sure they'll tell you that publishing order is best to read them in :D I'd say read 'em whichever way you like - the order is just that. It won't ruin your enjoyment of the books!
