The Conference is in Toronto this year, and my little sister, is presenting a forum with youth from around the world relating to Youth AIDS experiences

The panel presentation will be webcast on Monday 14, 0745 PST, at this website: http://www.aids2006.org/. I think a lot of other workshops will be webcast as well - well worth watching, IMO.

AIDS is still a terrible problem and I was really suprised at the low profile it gets. I've only recently seen ALDO shoes and another company beat the awareness drum. When we were in Botswana, we were taught all about HIV/AIDS in high-school. As far as I know, there is no AIDS education in Canadian high-schools. I believe much of what will be presented at the workshop will focus on how to better educate youth about the dangers of AIDS.

you're right, Nefer. It is not still, it is again a problem especially now in th so called first world.
My generation grew up with everything they knew of HIV/AIDS, for me it was always on my mind. But for the generation that comes now it's often something like some cold. "it will happen to someone else, maybe, but not to me". They are careless, ignorant und selfish and they think prevention is like a cap: you can wear it, but you needn't.
